Located on the Pacific Coast, south of San Francisco, in the heart of biking/hiking trails and back-roads country, you'll find the San Benito House. Take advantage of owner Greg Regan's vast knowledge of every trail and back road, with over 30 years of riding/hiking experience in the area. Delicious, homemade, healthy, and hearty breakfasts await you after a restful night in one of the inn's 12 upstairs guest rooms. Inside bike storage available. Incidentally, the San Benito House is just a little over one-quarter of a mile (about eight blocks) walk from the beach and a mile from wonderful hiking in the Purissima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve. Año Nuevo State Reserve, 25 miles south of Half Moon Bay. Elephant seals return several times during the year to mate and rear their young. There are self-guided or docent-guided walking tours – a must-see destination. Fitzgerald Marine Reserve in Moss Beach. Tidepool discoveries and an inspiring walk along the bluffs. Purissima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve in Half Moon Bay. Great hiking in the coastal redwoods. |
